Not all eggs are safe to be eaten raw. Japanese eggs are safe to be consumed raw due to the way they are strictly regulated, but all raw eggs has a chance of salmonella.

lol yeah i remember hearing about that but even with a runny yolk i'd def want the minimum cooking or poaching since i don't think the heat from a fresh rice cooker would be enough for it lol but yeah i just stick to the simple fried eggs tho i don't always add eggs to rice unless it's fried rice take out (tho if they did somehow import JP eggs around here i'd still just eat the yolk only b/c undercooked/raw whites are gross)
