I don't think it's about those sensitive topics and promoting eating disorder. Don't overthink into political much. The girl surely eats more than normal human, and her manager, the girl in glasses eat the same thing without any guilt. The only problem is her job, which is a toxic industry but she can always quit. She wanted to keep it easy, and still eat whatever she wants, then she needs to work for it. The monster is just a funny metaphor.
