so tsukiyo IS a boy lol. i still wasnt sure. bubbly personality and a dream place that sounds like quite the dream. i gotta agree probably death flag city lol but i'll add that it could all be an act to get beniten to let her guard down, since tsukiyo sure aint gonna..

btw for anyone wondering they're listening to the nutcracker. so i guess they're acting like sugar plum mushrooms. with the last frame i'm wondering if they're maybe some kind of parasitic mushroom. she seemed more shocked than i expected at the grab so maybe i'm being mean suspecting sasako.

I'm very curious about the worldbuilding. The mushroom fairies have a racial divide between edible and poisonous mushrooms, by the standards of humans. They also adopt the names which humanity had labelled the mushroom species, and their magic system seem to revolve around witnessing the corpse of humans. Most of all, their villages, family units, and genders all mimic humans despite being (I presume) asexual mushrooms. I wouldn't be surprised if a future plot point reveals that they deify humans and worship them as gods.
