I get the feeling this series won't be able to hold up its overarching story very well. They're mushroom faeries or something, they classify themselves based on whether humans can eat them safely, there's a vague revenge plot that only exists as a pretext, even in universe... It's a lot of parts, and I can see this either being cancelled before it answers any questions, or just failing to actually answer them at all.

I imagine that the story will be wrapped up nicely at least for the most part. We're only on volume 2 so we will most likely get more answers soon. Dec. 1st Announcement: I'll be taking a break from translating until Dec. 10th

Hello everyone! I just wanted to notify you all that I will be taking a break from translating until the 10th, meaning this week’s chapter has been delayed. I’m in my final semester of being a college student so I have to finish up my thesis project as well as make it through finals week. If I manage to take care of all my projects fast enough then I’ll end my break from translating sooner, but I will still be able to upload the next chapter on the 10th if not. Anyways, good luck to everyone else also going through finals right now! Study hard but make sure to take breaks every once in a while too

they're all tragic and broken in various ways, but i'm not gonna lie i just got shounen battle manga vibes from that exchange. seems like beni left out the part where its possible her parents and village were gonna try to kill her though. that or he doesnt care she wants to kill him so he was gonna "help". we got a nice little ragtag group here.
