the jp used 大学の同期, which is like "someone from the same year in university" or you entered uni at the same year, and there are times you are not together in all classes. the closest I know in translation is a "batchmate", not sure if this is used in other countries but here in the PH, it is common. hope this helps!

No bcs all Brutal manga is lowkey a propaganda to think that cops are morally grey(saying this as a fan of Brutal for 4 years), hard fact but it's the truth. Irl cops are usually criminals themselves, they're the one who commits crime more than the civils
