NGL even if true, that is one of the most braindead idiotic actions he could've taken. Why the fuck would he delve into dungeons if he wants to hide his strength? And why would he need to hide his strength from the two people that already know he kicked seven shades of shit out of a demon lord?

The only one low on braincells is me. I've been reading manga and watching anime for over 4 decades, and yet every time characters do stupid shit like this it disappoints and pisses me off all over again.

For me manga is a recent hobby after decades of passively inhaling it online, so my frame of reference may be different.
I don't hate dumb stories/characters, and when they are they'd better get really ridiculous. I noticed that compared to many users I develop less attachment to progress and payoffs, and care more about immediate shenanigans and enjoying the ride.
