A few chapters ago, I said the cavemen functioned like Leafcutter ants, and these ants do discard dead ants or brood in a pile inside the colony, and when the pile reach a certain mass, they will move all of it out of the colony.
Looking at the pic, yeah, seem like a tomb, these cavemen can be killed, and they need a place to dump corpses after all.
