I always love in how these series make the humans to be the worst of the worst when they've made other races just as sapient as humans. It's just lazy writing for an easy boogeyman/moral teaching. Also same happens with churches (which makes even less sense in alot of these stores as literal gods exist) and go against the teachings but no divine retribution.
