Well, Zhukov definitely didn't drive the Japanese from the Chinese mainland; as the World War 2 rages on, Japan is in the process of invading China, with much of its coastline under their control, and have a puppet state in Manchuria. He did however defeat their incursions into Mongolia at the Battle of Khalkin Gol in 1939, notable for his usage of strategies that would go on to characterize how wars are waged in the upcoming now starting World War.
