2. Random girl A who likes girls figures out that Minami likes Yuzu, which is then interpreted as "likes girls too".

3. Random girl A says "I will tell your best friend that you have a crush on her unless you go around the festival with me."

You gotta understand that blackmail isn't just "I'll expose a crime unless you pay me". Confidential and potentially destructive information is being used as a bargaining chip to take advantage of Minami. Read the chapter again.

It’s a standard troupe in Yuri or maybe Shojo troupe? I don’t know, It creates more drama and makes it easy to write a story. Yuri series like this ends when the MC ends up with the love interest.. which usually lasts for like 20-25 chapters..
