It's no different than complaining about a dense MC and the horny women around him trying to start something but he's too stupid to get it.

Man idk, I'd like to think that if done right it would work. I cant really imagine the guy being gay and the story going that way but I guess I cant imagine reading a normal harem either. But yeah I guess it would be pretty similar to him being dense if the girls down know the whole time.
