Sorry for the 1 month delay. I've had a LOT going on, and I have a LOT going on this month, too. As always, if anyone is interested in assisting with translation, I'd be eternally grateful.

Also for the first time this chapter - lots of colored pages (because I can't use my Japanese kanji reader while at work, but I can use photoshop!). I hope you enjoy them. Honestly, a full color version of this manga would be splendid but that would be a full time job all by itself!

Don't worry about it, life comes at all of us with plenty of unexpected occurrences and timely events. Simply knowing that you're working on this despite your circumstances is wonderful to hear, so take your time with it!

I bet Matoriv completes Medroa fighting this assassin guy. He seems confident in his cloak reflecting spells but what if there's a spell that demolishes everything? Yeah, let's see next chapter indeed.

The assassin guy, is that Killvearn? Has similar vibe.
I thought it was Kigiro or whatever the treeman was but it seems not. Could just be a new character tbh.

Remember Matoriv warned Pop about reflection spell when fighting a mage? It must have come from this battle.

I highly doubt it. KillVearn always use a scythe, and has the little imp with him.

Because that little imp is the real KillVearn. The big black dude is just a puppet.

Furthermore, there's also no reason for KV to disguise himself in an outfit like that.

Yeah,

I meant to say is if the guy is the one Killvearn uses later as its puppet. Like this might be his origin story or something. Been a while since I read OG manga so I forgot some details.

I very strongly doubt that's the case. The puppet Killvearn isn't just some dead body but definitely mechanical, since his blood is literally made the lava of the underworld, something that no living being has been shown to have. Also it's pretty damn strong physically. Would be weird for a mere underling from the prequel to be such a huge deal. It would be cool to learn more about Killvearn though, since the plotwist happened right at the end, we didn't get too much details regarding its creation. The Imp was weak physically, so did he just have a magic stats build, or he was a genuis artisan?

Well, maybe he got some upgrades in between this manga and OG? But again I'm just spitballing here as my basis is only that they look similar and have the same vibe.

We know that Killvearn joined Vearn’s side far before the events of this spinoff happened, so definitely not. Who knows what’s up wit Piroro but I doubt he’s a regular jinkster monster, maybe he’s a darkling pretending to be one. But to follow your theory, maybe Piroro made a second, weaker puppet to do other things since his main Killvearn puppet is stuck being with Vearn. We also know that Piroro doesn’t actually need to be physically there because he wasn’t in the dimension where Kill and Avan had their duel.

I forgot about that so I guess you're right. Been a while since I read the manga.

The assassin guy being a second puppet of Piroro/Killvearn is possible I guess :thonk:
