To be fair, “I Have a Crush at Work” is a different story. It starts with them already together. We don’t see them failing in love with each other. This isn’t a SoL romcom as Kono Kaisha. At least, not yet.

We’re seeing her insecurities from her previous (and only) relationship. So I’m guessing Enomoto wants to solve her core issues before she is able to face Yuuki head-on in their romance

I will say that he absolutely knew what he was doing, mostly cause he clearly wants to get back with Ban. Which is totally fine! He has no idea that she's doing "practice" and not even into him, cause she's mostly the same. This is very much where he'll get a reality check since and I'm interested to see how he'll react to it.

That’s exactly it. He has no idea Ban is into Yuuki. That’s him trying to get close to Ban again, since he’s still hung up on her, having no idea he is actually trying to wedge himself between Ban and Yuuki.
