Realistically, eating any large animal whole would give you a host of diseases. There's poo in there

Unrealistically, alien bodies don't have human transferrable diseases and are also addictive

In terms of literary analysis, uh, if I was giving withdrawal, I'd include classic withdrawal symptoms, like anxiety, sweating, shaking, nausea
