I was about to say that was a surprisingly wholesome chapter for a while there. It was really nice. Also something I felt was missing for a while now…? Just moments where no plot progresses but still feels like the moment was nice and necessary. There are a TON of panels in this manga in the past that just felt like padding even though it was plot progression, but surprisingly enough, I didn’t feel that here, even though there was obvious fan service and they could have explained Carl’s older sister’s turmoil in a single page.

Pretty solid. And then the last couple pages is where the freak begins. I wonder if this eye patch girl is the daughter of Carl’s sister?
