Man these few chapters as a set were great. The voyage, the introduction of the traveling sage princess, the undead pirates and sea dragon. I wish he didn’t one shot the dragon though and had a little exposition showing the Divine Beast’s size vs the skeletal dragon in scale, would have made an amazing double page illustration, but he one shot it with his most complex form of summoning, so wild. The mage princess got to flex a bit, so that was neat as well, she’ll be a fun character down the line.

I still don’t get how they can be buddy buddy with that shithead noble though after what he did to Anthony the night before the match, and what he did to the commoner girl during the match. Actually insane how far they go out of the way to try to make him seem decent.

Only because there was that pause in the activity, with nobody else doing anything but the Naga magician maintaining the magic shield. Normally Akira is too preoccupied staring (with his mouth hanging open) at others doing things to remember he's a powerhouse himself. But when there was a pause like that, it actually gave him the ten seconds to recall he has got his own powers. It goes without saying this is his biggest, astronomical, weakness that also means he's not really a disastrous danger to enemy nations. He needs people to protect him, all the time, because he's far too slow to take action. He's powerful when he finally does, but before that, he's as helpless as a civilian. He's a dictionary definition of a glass cannon.
