Why are we dedicating an entire chapter to each fight? Why spend so many pages and panels only to meaningless dialog as ppl comment on the foregone conclusion from the unnamed chars on both sides/teams (and that mage duo spends too much space on dialog too, but at least are likely to stick around the story)?

Also, kinda rude of the mage duo to shout out his secrets to all the nobels that are hostile to him...

Well, it was Akira who first showed his hand, by summoning a divine beast. Also, in his thoughts he has already decided to hold back nothing and display what he was capable of.

It's also a way to show how wide the gap is between Akira's power and the nobles' current powers.

I enjoyed this chapter but you are right, each individual chapter adds very little. Which is why I'm grateful when KB9 releases multiple, makes for a far more enjoyable read.

not a fan of the fact that the little mage just announced one of his traits to the public as if it were nothing.

He's like: I SUMMON LEVY THE SEA DRAGON AND WINDED DRAGON OF SALA. Turn Over.
Where is the golem anyway, make it bigger to complement the other summon.

yep. really like that they stockpiled chapters during the commoners battled until it was done, because I would have hated reading those one by one. Releasing all those at once made bearable, what I probably would have dropped otherwise.

Thanks @KittyBlue9 for the chapters. Appreciate the multiple chapter releases!

I'm waiting to see when another mage will cause him some trouble. Right now the story is pretty slow and the fights are kind of boring. Especially with most of them dedicated to explanation of the world system.

Well, and what will they do to take advantage of the fact that they know he doesn't need a contract to summon?

Report him to the authorities for using non-contracted summons like you would report an employer for having out of contract workers in his business ?

Form a PETA like organization for the protection of summoned beasts and write the MC a strongly worded letter?

Also she didn't really shout out his secrets, if nothing else she has unintentionally greatly misinformed people who heard her.
Because the MC is not using summoned beasts at all but more like avatars of his drawings fueled by his magic and imagination.

Imagine this scenario : "Someone who knows all there is to know about all possible contracted summoned beasts, has made a compendium on how to counter each and every possible summoned beast into existence with the sole purpose of defeating the MC and organizes a large party specifically to counter any and all possible summons he might bring forth.
They start a fight, MC summons a Leviathan they smirk bring out whatever could counter a water based beast like leviathan, at which point the MC redraws the leviathan and now it's a Leviathan Golem hybrid that spews superheated plasma and emits lightning from its eyes."

So technically she did him a favor.

Considering the fact that the MC is only limited by his own imagination, he can start summoning Yu-Gi-Oh! monsters for all its worth.

They could make plans that include the knowledge that he is not limited to the summons he showed before. Instead of letting him overturn them when he pulls out trump cards they didn't expect.

They could create great public pressure to have him work his ass off as a military asset, "because he has the power". And if he doesn't, the people will hate him.
Same, but for teaching ppl how to do the same.

They could decide he is too much of a danger, and outright assassinate him.

And so on, etc. But mostly, the issue is that he is a very private person that doesn't want to stand out. And while he happened to accept standing out a bit in this fight, he clearly still was not making it known that he operates on entirely different principles. That is really what's my main issue with her shouting it out to all.

As for your scenario, he can't summon things he doesn't know exists already. It was explained this (or the prior?) chapter.

The thing is knowing this doesn't escalate those points, he summoned divine beasts, he is a powerful asset already they want for the military, to dangerous kill him, is already a thought to any noble because they are not controlling him. This doesn't change any of those, as ultimately they don't understand his power ether way. He is a anomaly with seemingly unlimited power, they cant asses, if there is talk of he has no contract it means he is using less mana or stockpiling the mana and only using it while fighting. This makes him a more reasonable existence in a way. But no matter what they will fear him, this doesn't really give them any insight, and tells them that its worthless to make plans to counter him, as he is just to versatile to counter that way. And it disguises his real power as well. He really lost nothing from it, while it scares his opponents.
