This isn't a copy of the og dream thread, I just want a place to post all my funky dreams where others can read them! enjoyyy! ~ (or don't! :3)

In this dream I was in a pixelated water level type thing kinda like super mario bros on the older consoles. After a little while I popped out of the water onto a marble tiled floor. I wasn't pixelated anymore though. I looked up and saw a room adorned in gold. There was a large, ornate door; at least 40 stories tall and much much too big for me to even think about using it. There were marble pillars around the room and the massive tiles below me shined like mirrors. While I was examining the beautiful room surrounding me the solid golden door began to creak open with a loud whine. I looked over only to see a monster.

The monster was 30 stories tall in itself. It had hundreds if not thousands of legs some ending in spikes while other ended in giant hands. Its entire body was made of a tar or ichor-like substance that seemed to suck in all light. Its body was covered in porcelain masks each dripping golden tears and every single one contorted into nightmarish expressions of agony, mania, or pure despair and anger. The noises coming from it were a cacophony of sobs, screams, and laughter that made my head feel like it would explode. The creature soon took notice of me and began charging. I ran. I ran faster than I ever had before but nonetheless I was caught. It stopped suddenly and I woke up left only with a dull sense of primal fear and anxiety ruminating in my chest.

pt 2! (yippe)

I woke up in a small, dark dirt tunnel. I had no idea where I was but the walls around me smelt strongly of soil. There were short tan roots sprouting out of them all. The tunnel seemed to widen up ahead of me so I crawled until I could walk. eventually I stumbled across a man. He was short, 3 feet at most, and clearly elderly. He was wrinkled across his whole body though most of it was covered by shiny, white, fluffy hair that went nearly to the ground in length. His ears were pointed, his nose was very large and crooked, and his eyes were almost too big & pure black. Similar to a rat. He seemed to have bioluminescent purple mushrooms growing out of his hair, their bright glow being the only source of light. He told me to come with him if I wanted to live so I did.

We walked through the dark tunnel but as we went further, the same mushrooms that sprouted from the small man began to appear on the wall too. Eventually after what felt like hours, we reached a well decorated but weathered wooden door. it was covered in silver leaf like decals with a pretty hanging doorknob on it. I opened the door to see I was miles above an outdoor pool that shone a beautiful aqua color in the sun light. I jumped out only to find myself on the back of a gummy shark (stupid, I know). I fell for a while before the shark rolled over tipping me off. I thanked it for the ride shortly before I felt the cold pool water splash my back as I impacted. I then woke up

part 3! ~

I came to on a hard cement floor. I opened my eyes only to be assaulted by the neon rainbow of colors adorning the play place in front of me. I sat up seeing the unbelievably large play place that seemed like it could swallow an adult whole. The place smelt of sweat and plastic but despite the setting it was weirdly quiet. Not a cricket to be heard, reminiscent of a forest when a mountain lion appears. I stood up only to be roughly grabbed by the arm. I looked over to see a man who, in figure, was closer to a sock than a man. He looked like he hadn't bathed in weeks, a factor exemplified by his stained navy hoodie and rancid smell.

He dragged me to a bench beside the play place forcing me to sit down. I looked over only to see the sympathetic faces of kids ranging in age and race, all seeming to have given up on life only breathing because it was automatic, from within the plastic tubes though none of them said or did a thing other than watch. The man, still holding me so tight I felt my arm would snap, brought out a small but sharp razor blade. He said something about showing me my place, but his words were drowned out by the sharp pain of the razor slicing me as though I were butter. I watched my crimson blood flow out flow out of my previously unharmed thigh. a sight that could almost pass as beautiful if it weren't for the sudden faintness taking my senses by force. I passed out and the next time I came to I was covered in cuts, new & old. I lay in the same tubes I once watched the other kids hide in now just as complaint. Just as much a part of the plastic that had absorbed all of my blood and tears for years now.

I lay silently, still, almost as if disappearing would save me from the shining blade that had haunted me. Just as I began to drift off into a dreamless sleep a loud crash came from across the room. I barely spared it a glance but despite my lack of care the scene played on. The man was put in cuffs and me, and the other children were all saved though most of us were much too forgone. I looked up at my mother's sobbing face as she witnessed my scarred and broken form though I couldn't seem to manage a single feeling or thought. As I stepped out of that prison of bright colors I awoke to my real room, enveloped by my warm bed and blankets.

part 4! :>

I was at the side of my house with my mother; we were investigating the noises from under the house that had plagued our sleep for weeks. She was crouched down in the dirt, flashlight in hand as the streetlights that usually bathed the old house in light were broken. She heard a shuffle from somewhere deep within and began to move in deeper while I watched but suddenly in a sharp jerk she was pulled under the house. a wet, disgusting cracking sound followed, accompanied by the dark, vicious liquid that oozed out from her limp body. Adrenaline coursed through me as I took off running only to be caught by the feeling that I was being chased. I ran and I ran. I sprinted for what felt like forever ignoring the stabbing aches in my bones, and the sharp pain in my lungs begging me to stop. I kept going until the looming presence died down. I fell onto my house's rough tiles through the back door left simply a sobbing, shaking mess of wheezes and coughs but I didn't dare relax.

I got up despite the desperate need for a break and went downstairs. I hid in my storage room behind brown cardboard boxes though it barely concealed me. after not long the creature that had been chasing me came into view through the darkened white doorframe ahead of me. my breath hitched determined not to be caught as I took in the monsters tall but lanky form. I walked on all fours, each foot really a pale olive toned hand, each finger just a little too long and a little too boney. Its arms were not much different, its speed earlier now seemed impossible compared to the toothpicks it hobbled upon. its body managed to be frail looking yet bloated as if it had been filled with water leaving its skin glistening slightly in the backlight of the room behind it. Its face was pale, and its eyes were something that left me shaken. they looked stretched, wrinkly. as if they shouldn't be there in the first place but its mouth in contrast, was pulled taught into a forced, toothless grimace that felt as though it couldn't move without tearing the skin at the corners.

I spent so long absorbed in the monster's horrific appearance that I neglected the fact that my mother was now in the room across from me as though I hadn't watched her fade away underneath the house, as if I never saw how the flashlight splashed in her blood when it fell bathing the lense and making its light cast a horrific red light as if to set the mood. I opened my mouth to call out only to remember where I was and shut it. despite this it was too late. the monster turned to me, its figure looming over me in a manner that shook me to my very core. its mouth and jaw began to stretch while it, or more accurately the world itself began to tremble in something akin to pure primordial rage mixed with a hunger I could never even begin to fathom. Just as I tensed up bracing for the immanent doom awaiting me it all stopped. I looked up to see my mother in front of the monster resting a hand on it as though it were just the family dog. The grin she bore wasn't right; it wasn't hers and yet it lay rest on her face... Then all at once everything came to an end.

Weird, stumbled this by chance and now using it to procrastinate.

Questions -
1. How are you recording this dreams. Like right after you wake up? I heard they can get more vivid if you are conscious about it.
2. Have you tried inputting your dreams into ChatGPT. You can get some pretty interesting results. For Fun, of course.

This dream is vivid, archetypal, and rich with symbolism. Interpreting it isn't about a single "correct" answer but about drawing connections to emotional, psychological, or spiritual states that might resonate with you. Here's a breakdown of key elements and potential meanings:

1. Pixelated Water Level (Beginning)

Imagery: Old-school video game, nostalgic, limited resolution or simplicity.

Possible Meaning:

  • A starting point in a simplified or controlled environment, possibly symbolic of childhood, past experiences, or a "safe" zone where challenges are predictable and structured.
  • Pixelation could suggest distancing from reality, or seeing the world in a simplified or "processed" form—perhaps a defense mechanism or a sign of detachment.

2. Emerging into a Marble Hall

Imagery: Majestic, real, ornate, almost sacred.

Possible Meaning:

  • A transition to a higher or deeper realm of consciousness—you're no longer in the "game" but somewhere real, awe-inspiring, and possibly overwhelming.
  • Marble and gold are symbols of purity, wealth, enlightenment, or divine spaces, which might mean you're entering a part of your mind or soul that is untouchable, sacred, or terrifying in its grandeur.

3. The Gigantic Ornate Door

Imagery: 40 stories tall, not meant for you.

Possible Meaning:

  • A threshold to something vast and incomprehensible, like the unconscious mind, cosmic truth, or some form of divine/demonic reality.
  • Its scale makes you feel insignificant, perhaps echoing existential fears or humility in the face of something greater than yourself.
  • This could symbolize opportunity, change, or destiny—but one that’s inaccessible or not ready for you.

4. The Monster

Imagery: Massive, many-limbed, tar-like, covered in crying porcelain masks.

Possible Symbolism:

  • The Unconscious or Shadow Self: This creature may represent parts of yourself you fear, repress, or don’t understand—emotions or traumas that have been buried but remain powerful.
  • The Masks: Each mask with its tortured expression could represent fragmented emotional experiences or personas you've worn or been exposed to—sorrow, madness, rage—all hidden behind brittle facades.
  • Tar/Ichor Body: Suggests something primordial, ancient, consuming, and corrupting. It absorbs light—possibly a metaphor for depression, despair, or emotional voids.

5. Sound and Emotion

Imagery: Cacophony of pain and madness; unbearable noise.

Possible Meaning:

  • Could be your mind overwhelmed by unprocessed emotions or intrusive thoughts.
  • The sounds physically hurting you may symbolize psychological pain that has become too loud to ignore.

6. The Chase and Capture

Imagery: You run, you are caught, then you wake.

Possible Meaning:

  • Classic anxiety dream motif. Running suggests flight from something internal, and being caught reflects inability to escape a confrontation with that fear.
  • Waking upon capture often means the mind has reached a threshold of emotional tolerance—or it's inviting you to explore what you're running from.

7. Lingering Fear and Anxiety

  • The emotional residue—primal fear, not easily shaken—means this dream struck a nerve. It’s pointing to something meaningful, perhaps a part of your psyche or experience that wants attention or integration.

Overall Themes & Possible Interpretations

  • Shadow Work: This dream is a profound confrontation with the shadow—the repressed or unknown parts of yourself. Jungian psychology would see the monster as a manifestation of your deepest fears, traumas, or repressed emotions.
  • Transformation: Moving from a pixelated game to a golden cathedral-like space indicates a major shift in consciousness. This could be a spiritual awakening, a psychological reckoning, or a confrontation with the sublime.
  • Existential Realization: The enormity of the door and the monster might reflect a recent realization of your own smallness in a vast, chaotic universe. This could be linked to feelings of awe, fear, or helplessness in the face of existence.
  • Emotional Overwhelm: If you’ve been carrying suppressed emotions, this dream may be the mind’s way of flushing them into symbolic form so you can confront them—even if they’re terrifying.

Would you say you're currently going through any major life shifts, inner conflicts, or emotional breakthroughs? Dreams like this don’t tend to show up randomly. They’re usually signals of profound inner change or pressure.

Here's what I got from inputting the first part of your dream.

Firstly, PLEASE do this with the others (if you wanna ofc) bc not only was this very interesting to read but you also clocked me so hard it scared me worse than the dream itself!!
now, to answer your questions; no, these dreams are all months old, but they've just stuck with me very well along with a few others i have yet to put here specifically because all of these dreams left me with such a palpable feeling of dread & anxiety when i woke up. Part four is the most recent dream however only being a few weeks old. as for your second one; also, no- i dont particularly like ai but it's also just not super fun to talk to imo (no hate tho)

part five!! :3

I walked into my old trailer and looked down the darkened hallway, the auburn wood floors the only color visible against the shadowy walls. Something had been eating away at me for days, a feeling stuck like slime in my throat. I walked into the room, the curtains drawn to block all sunlight & two of my sisters curled up on the bed as though everything was ok. atop their heads was a silver, metallic ushanka hat. on each side was a thin trapezoid box-like shape almost reminiscent of a pair of ears and at the sharp point of each box was a strange sphere that seemed like something out of a sci-fi movie. the metallic hats stuck out as odd for reasons clearly apparent to most. a feeling deep in my gut urged me to leave, quickly. something was going to happen and somehow, I knew. I left the room, the hall, the feeling of the hardwood floor the only thing keeping me grounded. and finally, I approached the door. The view through the window wouldn't hint at anything wrong but a deep, guttural growling from the dark hallway to my right proved this wrong. I looked over to see fleshy beasts growling at me, rotten yellow teeth bared, haunches raised ready to attack. They looked as if a mangled wolf were coated with ground beef and left to rot in the summer sun.

The smell that emanated off of them was only overshadowed by the clack of their black nails as they began to approach. I sprinted out of the door locking it behind me with a clack and was greeted by my godmother and father in a tall black truck, the way the sunlight glinted off the paint was welcome after what I just saw. They gave me a knowing look as I got into the truck smelling the normally too harsh pine air freshener and feeling the coolness of the ac unit in front of me. If I didn't know better, I could have simply forgot what was going on to be immersed in this forever, a fleeting feeling of bliss. As we sped off to leave this place I was distracted from their speech by the ever-growing crowd of hat-wearing strangers who all seemed to have the same, dark unforgiving eyes I saw back at the trailer like they saw and memorized me from merely that glance.

Years later, I was in the grocery store with my child, a bright-eyed kid that that looked just like me. As we surveyed the bright oranges for ripeness something caught my eye. something more horrific than any piece of media could ever hope to be. the hat. a group of people, talking, laughing, as if everything were fine but that silver hat was shining upon their heads. a testament to the fact that even in a place so far away from the trailer it all began in, we were no longer safe. nowhere was. I watched knowing nothing could be done. That I had failed not only myself but my child, and perhaps the world itself.

Oh, for sure! Def meant it though, I did mean I did it just using LLM for fun. I know how dangerous things can slip with that stuff. Does make it interesting tho.

As for the dreams, it's great that you have such a vivid recollection, but I think it's because you have that significant emotional attachment to it is the reason you can recall that only type of dream. I'm unsure, if you have done some journaling before, but you can pick up on a lot of patterns and a surprising amount of things you forget it a day or even a week.

You might want to consider the dream journal, that way you aren't just recalling those dreams that cause you significant emotional dread. Still, fun stuff you are writing down btw.

Oh, I def understanding the warning for sure. That is a big danger, I def do not want to cross that bridge into crazy. Humans do have an itch for seeking pattern isn't one. a cigar can just be a cigar lol.
