So I'm guessing he kills those he loves going by the Kisaragi Junko incident. He's also obsessed with flip books which is why he dismembers them the way he does. I wanted more closure. This ending seems slightly lacking.

So I guess he's switching between 2 worlds/timelines. One where she's dead and one where she's alive.

@jak I wish that was the case bros, but the evidence dont look good man.
First let's take a look at the first time the timelines "switched" and nope it didn't occur at Chapter 4 or Scene 4 like some might initially think, it actually first began at Scene 2.

Scene 2-
Chapter starts out with his presumably sis calling out MC for dozing off and what do you have it the clock on one of the frame shows that the date was 5th of August! Eh? But in the previous scene, MC and his bros were just beginning their film project right at the start of their summer break or the 1st of August. Why would the mangaka do such a random time skip out of nowhere I wonder? Not to mention right after that the sister mentioned how today, being 5th of August was suppose to be the 2nd year anniversary of a dismembered girl that MC knows. Yikes bro.
After that halfway through the chapter, MC was sperging out about frames per second and frame dropping which is clearly not important and more importantly the heroine out of no where says she loves MC?! EH? When did they develop that close of a relationship together though?! At the end of the scene we see that Heroine is the one that made the first moves on too.

Scene 3-
This chapter starts off with MC stating that it is now the 3rd day of shooting but no actual date was really mentioned. So does that mean that the day in the previous scene was actually suppose to be the 2nd day of shooting which would be 2nd of August? Regardless, this time they were filming at disneyland which according to MC was a "sudden" request by best girl and in fact some panels later they even argued about it and MC even stated that such a thing should have been informed in advance and in response best girl quipped that even if she did MC would have said he didnt hear bout it like last time. Best girl then insisted utter lies when MC denied that too. Clearly that was just a pointless banter though. After that the scene continues on and end with best girl winning clearly.

Scene 4-
This chapter starts of with the message stating that today was suppose to be the 20th of August. This means it should already have been 20 days since the shooting. However, apparently from MC's and the reader's point of view, it has only been 4 days since the shooting! Weird. Anyways the rest of the scene continues with MC going to festival and having a date with best girl and ditching her after that to chase heroine. But when MC finally found heroine, she was ass naked and when he went to held her, he realized that she had been dismembered!!!!!! Soon after that he ran, fell down and went unconscious.
During his nap, he recalls a rather peculiar scene when he was making a flip book and accidentally dropped all the pages to which he soon felt distressed as he did not write down the ordering of the now mixed up scenes and so has now no idea where which scene is suppose to go...
The next moment after that dream, MC found himself back home in bed after being woken up by the door knocks. When he opened the door MC found out that heroine is ACTUALLY not ded afterall! But WAIT the scene also ends with the date now being at the 4th of August now?!! Wasn't it suppose to be the 21st of August though if yesterday was 20th of August?!

Alright then.

I'm starting to think that clearly we the readers and the MC are skipping a big chunk of the story here, almost as if..... the frames are being dropped halfway and instead of being discarded, they are instead being reinserted instead to another second, or in this case another day... This would also explain why she was "alive" again because her death has technically not occurred yet. You SEE the issue here?! It's not that it didnt occur, but that it technically has not occurred YET.

Scene 5-
This chapter starts with MC crying and hugging heroine and after that his friends when asked even stated that heroine now probably hates him and states they have only know each other for 3 days too. Wait 3 days? Even MC was visibily confused! So if the date of today's scene is suppose to be 4th of August as shown in the previous chapter, then that would indeed mean they have more or less known each other for 3 days after having met on the 1st of August in Scene 1.
This is also why as shown after that when MC who is clearly still clueless mentions that the crew already have the animal component in their film project like the cat and the rabbit. He wasn't exactly wrong per se as scene 2 page 14 shows a cat and scene 3 page 14 shows a rabbit! huh, just realized they have the same pages too. However the crew had no idea what he was on about! This is because scene 2 is suppose to take place at 5th of August while scene 3 takes place in some god knows when future while today was suppose to be 4th of August. So that means that the things that MC mentioned technically is not suppose to have happened yet!

After that during the midportion of the scene, we see that MC was woken up to a frantic phone call from heroine sobbing and asking him to meet her out of complete nowhere. Clearly the frame has dropped yet again. We even after that have MC coming to her all confused and heroine even thought that MC is lying and acting like a fool when in truth, his really not lying. MC still goes along like a fool anyway after that and make out with her regardless despite regardless clearly not knowing wtf is going on.

After that whole makeout session we see that once again the frame has dropped as we are now in 24th of August which should be days after the 20th of August that was shown in Scene 4. And in this new frame, his bear friend is now accusing him that he has killed the heroine and promptly beats him up after that before cutting off to no doubt yet another frame drop again. So where exactly does that leave us off with?

Conclusion/TL;DR-
I'm banking on @ExiaRepairIII's theory that MC is probably a schizophrenic dismemberment killer or something

Holy shit, it's all coming together.
This entire manga has been an entire sandwich of foreshadowing after foreshadowing.
Right from the first scene of the first chapter.

Reminds me of Erased or Boku dake ga Inai Machi. Prophetic abilities/Mental time travel + Mystery. Which means the MC is going to think, run, and suffer alot. Looking forward for this.
