In my mind they still did some more exciting alcohol searching adventure before eventually settling down with the bar 🥹
Sad it's over so soon but it was a fun one, thank you Drunk Bullet & Takakuchi-sensei!! :aquadrink:

That was a very interesting series. Prohibition era spirits and classic bartending are a relatively niche subject compared to the breadth of cuisine in most food manga, kind of nice to see that degree of specificity. Bummer it ran so short, but it hit a lot of highlights. I am kind of glad we didn’t have to go too much longer on the gangster storylines, they were okay but I think they wore thin compared to the booze stuff.

I’m surprised it wrapped up with Tequila Sunrises, which make me think of Applebees or 20 somethings ordering as many rail drinks as they can keep down. I haven’t had one in a long time but I’m sure I’d love one made by a good bartender; I do like Palomas. I suppose Takakuchi-sensei has a pure love of cocktails in many forms.

Makes me want to re-read Bartender.

Bacardi sure as hell isn't made from bananas. Like all rums, it's made from molassas. Pot stilled Jamaican rums do generally have the funk of very ripe bananas, but cuban rums don't. They're way more neutral, especially bacardi.

Ends this early
Well, I'll force myself to read through the rest because there's no point waiting on more chapters. I do wish this went on longer, I liked it.
Edit: And the chapter I ended off on is no longer available, what a rug-pull.
