I almost don’t want to say this, but I think the author doesn’t think much of women. The scene is setup so that we instantly see where it’s going, MCs response is, paraphrased “I told you so, you stupid bitch”. I think we can expect more of this kinda thing.

1. You let your selfish desires of cuddling cute animals.
2. In wilderness animals do not approach humans unless they are taught that humans are harmless, humans have fed them, or they are opportunist predators.
3. You don't know how to handle animals. You bare your teeth what is a sign of aggression. You lift it up which can freak them out. You did not show any signs of dominance to show that you can overpower it.
