Didn't reread since 5 months but from what i read in this chapter a group of senior adventurer help them leveling up when mc and that gyaru-oh arguing about mc luck stat. Tho tbh mc probably can deal with that gyaru-oh in 1 vs 1 due to difference of experience and beside. He got bonus stat from clearing solo quest ( s rank at that too )

it's been brought up even in recent chapters, but you level up at the same rate based on kills, but get less stats if you get "safe" exp. mc and gang always try to make things a bit harder on themselves so they gain more stats even at low levels, hence why mc was told even double his level should be ok.

It's also why power-leveling isn't worth much if you're being carried, but that won't stop some people from trying anyway so they can get bigger numbers

It's also been established that world governments have more or less given up on trying to police explorers who get over a certain level, so I could easily see a lot getting those safe levels just for the judicial immunity the number grants them.

Like, if someone told you that the government couldn't and wouldn't touch you if you reached, say, level 15 and someone offered to power level you to level 20, how many scumbags would jump at the offer, even if it made them comparatively weaker than people who legitimately fought, sweat, and bled for those levels?
