Just focus on grinding dammit.
The dungeon mechanics in this manga are very unique, as each person has different growth stats based on the difficulties they face. The more advantages you have on your side, the less your growth stats increase. That's why managing your growth in the early game is so tricky, one wrong move can ruin your entire future of becoming strong in the end game. Which is why I think Evie's decision to figure out her own way to grow is a wise decision.
