I was wondering the same.
Did they sleep as siblings bcause she wanted to be that close at least once in their lives of did they "do it" because she wanted to have that experience with him before he is a officially with the other girl?
MC seems to have realized he was loved as a man, not a brother, and was ready to leave his crush if it was for step-sis.

I'll probably be proven wrong next chapter, but I think they "slept" together, hence the SFX of "gloomy" and "self-hatred" around him the next morning.

Kinda don't like the step-sis, she seems like the awful manipulative sort.
I saw on novelupdates it has the first-time tag so I'm assuming they didn't do it and that is something that happens on screen. I'm also guessing that once she turns 15 (since she's 2 months younger) she will join the team/harem.
So I just read this chapter in the LN (Chapter 23) and it looks like he already brought his sister into the dungeon since she is 15 as well. It doesn't seem like she officially joined the team yet. It also is specific that she has a habit of sleeping with her brother and he always stopped it from escalating. But since he was kissed he secretly wondered what kissing her was like so they kissed each other in bed until they fell asleep.

Not into incest or anything nor am I simping for the step-sister (w/c I think will lose later on) but she literally said she wanna support his dream of reaching 1000, and getting in their way is not her style. Just pointing it out, I love the bluntness of this manga though.

MC is very cautious about avoiding a "harem party" like Nagamo's, feeling he's far too immature to handle the situations that would arise in trying to maintain even a single chaste relationship, let alone the kind of lifestyle his patron is so casual about. He remains very virginal for quite some time because of this, only gradually and somewhat grudgingly accepting his growing self-confidence and the impact it has on the girls around him.
And, yeah, by "accepting" all that, i mean exactly what you think i mean. But it takes place over a fair bit of time, and at a reasonably believable pace for this kind of story.

No, no, your right. Fully dislike her placement in this. She mistreated him as well which he repaid with kindness and developed a yandere like attachment to him enough to exploit his weakness of being a good brother and threatening with suicide. For my own mental health of the situation Imma assume they just laid next too each other and went to sleep, cause up too this point MC didn't even know what a kiss was and was jumping at every touch he got from his crush. So there no way he would just skip past the fact he got a kiss from is crush and go straight sweet home Alabama on his step sister whom he already knew had feeling for him but was chill about it and made no move prior.

Imagine "waiting" for a chapter for almost two months, and then it's just romantic-drama about shit you don't even remember or care about, wild.
Sometimes I wonder, why would authors even bother detracting from their main premise; some shmuck getting the opportunity to succeed in some way, by watering down the story with elements that are already deadhorse tropes, only used for padding, from the late 2000s.
Like, I don't know, I'd assume that whoever writes these things, also read a fuckton themselves. Surely they can't be thinking that love-triangles in anime make for good storytelling.
