Thanks for the translation!

The America story reminded me of World War Z where America reacts to zombies with statism, whilst Cuba ends up a free market haven.

"This guy is a rapist and serial murderer, and wants to kill you guys. Want me to kill him?"
"Wh-wh-wh-wh-wh-wh-wh-whwhwhwhwhwhwhw-what? MURDER? WOH WOH--"

That was a really big lmao moment right there. Was there even anything to think about? Obviously the author wanted to show that the MC is "still a normal guy", and murder is off the table as an instinct. But in that context, it just makes no sense, derp.

I think it's a matter of consideration, he's weak still and has been weak most of his life. Realising you can impose your will in that way would be crazy. It's pretty understandable, I think he's also squaring it with the fact he could be on the other side at some point. He is basically judging them but also justifying the same judgment against himself down the line if he also loses himself.
The way he gives so much favoritism to him and how he treat the girls sure looked like he is gay
I think it's more they aren't in his scope of consideration, he doesn't seem to care too much about the deaths or collateral damage outside of the people he actually has a connection to. The fact he was aware to a degree of what Hozumi's nature has become and some of what he got up to but only took action when it was going to affect his new favourite clarifies it for me.

I will accept that I'm willing to eat my words since I don't think he's treated any woman he's interacted with well and I don't wanna reread it to confirm.

I guess that makes sense as to why he is so strong, he's literally one of the twelve heroes. Do have to wonder what he saw in the MC to take such a shine to him, unless its just the fact that the guy helps those who seem good to make up for the people he helped in the past and naive that turned out to be evil.

Also, over a hundred countries? Unless we're talking about a lot of those tiny countries that are smaller than most states then there would be global fallout and economic collapse. Even then it would pretty much ruin most of the world but here it seems like everything is mostly fine, beyond the fact that high level adventurers are untouchable by standard government and police.

A lot of these "countries" are, in fact, tiny fictional jurisdictions, and we will eventually meet the surviving royalty of one of those fanciful lands in a very unfanciful situation.

I don't think that was just a MC is a normal guy moment.

MC probably also has some doubts about if they were actually responsible/guilty. He may admire Nagumo, but he isn't blindly trusting him either. He is probably worried about Nagumo's morality. He already has questions, when he gave the lady a lot of money for notifying Nagumo if he showed up again. Nagumo, a really high level adventurer, went out of his way help a nobody, like the MC. I'd be super suspicious, about why. By making the MC "responsible" for their deaths, he might have been playing an psychotic Edgelord trick on him. Ha Ha, you caused these people to die, whoops!

The first question MC asks, is do they remember murdering someone. Not just do they feel guilty about the crime (and assuming their guilt). Do they remember committing it. Hozumi questions his authority, not the accusation. If I'm being questioned like that, I answer: I didn't kill anyone, wtf are you talking about.
