Interesting basis, and start. Feels like a great many of kids in this day and age, wanting to get strong, alone, after getting bullied throughout life, and wanting to give a big last "Fuck you" to society.
From what i understand there's a lot of shady stuff going on in the background, they could easily make graphic spectacle out of it, but choose not to and it's not necessarily bad thing, just hoping that it can go on by itself with story and characters.
It's actually refreshing that mc choose to kill those guys, instead of questioning his own morality too much.

His main arc is not just becoming a more assertive version of himself but doing so within the context of learning the new common sense of a rapidly changing world -- two worlds, really.
