Since someone was furiously commenting how this was a copy of Avalon on the first 2 chapters I went to read it, and omfg how can something be so BAD, it's so bad and the MC is SO annoying with all that talk about "I have to make the story go as the original", it's just so overused and the protagonist himself is boring, so it's not like the overused plot can be overlooked.

I almost did too! But the guy talked so much about it I had to give it a chance, I read a LOT, but it was definitely NOT worth it

This is me though, however I prefer this one than Avalon. The difference is that the MC here is better, but it's still the same with I have to keep the plot the same but for different reasons. I wasn't furious, just pointing out that this is a clone of avalon because they both share the same narrative structure and plot arcs.

Avalon was so bad I dropped it after 3 chapters.

Avalon's author is inexperienced, you easily see how it's boring when the first arc has like 60 chapters. There's 6 light novel volumes, but so far he didn't introduce the main villain or theme of the story.
The fact that the author made him lose to a slime only for the MC to get roasted by literally everyone for 50 chapters and his shitty CF is not good either.

I did read too after those avalon yappers kept yapping about it and wow it's so bad. Calling it so bad it just understatement. For MC who has grandeur background story, the MC sure love being a vegetable MC. Guess those yappers succeeded at making us going there to increase the manga traffic or whatever reasons.

Dude, if you leave the story as it originally was, you're dead. Your entire goal is to destroy the story, because by the same logic you're applying, your death may be mandatory for the story to continue normally.

The player is an individual right now, not a pre-programmed NPC aiming to play a perfect game. Not some gamer who is willing to go with risky strategies or go grinding around for hours on end to overpower and cheese a game.

You're dealing with some random schmoe whose backstory and personality is set in stone, but whose future actions aren't. The faster you destroy this mindset of "I don't wanna alter the story, the very same story that wants me dead that i want to alter", the faster we can move on from this brain dead central issue and move on to the focus of the story which is growth and breaking the story, which was always the intended consequence of your goal of survival.

PS. Now with that statement from the MC. Now it has a more clear point of comparison with Avalon. Before then it was more of a generic isekai, loser to hero, effort type hero.

We trash-talk Avalon in here? Count me in, honestly the reason it's so bad because Avalon MC reason to keep the og story is kinda stupid. Cause unlike others manga, there's other player who already messed-up the story. But he still acting like a weakass guy, to kept the so called story. I mean, he didnt need to show his full power just dont let peole look-down to him too much. I also heard that the novel story is worse compared to manga and it's on hiatus. Anyway Avalon is one of those wasted potential story,

avalon manga is dog water, but i suggest at least try the novel version. Less rage bait with no pay-off. and character passiveness is kinda understandable a wee bit. like the class F abuse is almost non-existance in novel i think. just off-screen beat up some time.

I like avalon. Frustrated, yes. Hate the MC's personality and mindset, yes. Hate the CF, yes. But still not enough to hate it completely. His reasoning kinda makes sense but also doesn't in many cases. Wasted potential too. Could've been a 10/10.

Hoping the MC here is relatable.
