It reminds me of "My disciple died yet again". Both of these stories feature an MC that just keeps dying, and the focus is pretty much about going from "one life to another" (albeit Disciple is shoujo-esque, and mostly comedic).
If I have any gripe with this story, is that it is slow as fuck, the MC has no agency, and there's no "goal" for shit. In Disciple, the MC is given "a mission" she has to clear in every arc. So even if she's "stuck" in doing someone else's work, we at least have a point of reference regarding where the story's trying to go. This MC, however, doesn't have a guide line. He's just someone's slave, and we wait for "something" to happen.
Right now it's bearable, because it is literally the start of the story -- but it'd officially hit the dumpster if it'd be like this until chapter 8, or 10. A story cannot be this slow, have a main-character that has no free-will, and also completely have no plot-hooks at all.
