- after the deadly sword training from his elf mother , kabbage dude was still a weakling and he was killed many times by weak monsters , lol .

- after kabbage dude mentioned his village , the captain elf is perking / is twitching / is triggered , so maybe captain elf was involved with the village destruction , so that is why he spared kabbage dude 's life after they fell down the big hole .

Damn these elves are ice cold not even reacting to the pixie dying a slow horrific death.

@daywithoutgames Kabru's not weak, nor is his party. He and they are simply less suited to the dungeon's treachery than Laius and his. We're told at the beginning of chapter 10 that Kabru's party has been progressing very quickly to the level of more established groups, which themselves are beginning to crumble. Also, he demonstrates a real killer instinct on the corpse hunters in chapter 32 and while trying to take out Farlyn in 38. His deficiency within dungeons seems to be that his disgust for monsters prevents him from looking closely at them, while Laius has become successful by studying them obsessively.

I'm not seeing what you're seeing about Captain Misurn in chapter 45. He's completely dour from start to end. He only speaks up because, as we've learned in this chapter, Kabru happened upon Misurn's personal understanding of dungeons by talking about them in terms of nutrition and growth. It seems more likely that Kabru's still alive because A) Misurn needs supervision that his squad usually provides, B) Kabru isn't much bigger a risk to work with than a criminal Canary, and C) Misurn thinks that Kabru understands dungeons like he does, unlike the rest of his squad who didn't know what Kabru meant back in chapter 45.

I love this monger so much. The way Kabru sees Laius had me laughing my butt off every time!
He’s far more perceptive than I could ever be about people

about elf captain :

- both ears were cut off .

- black eyes , rare for an elf .

maybe these are hints that he is a mix-blood elf : 50 % elf blood + 50 % other race . he cut off his own ears to hide the fact that the ears 's tips were round and not pointy like a pure-blood elf 's ones .

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

or maybe his black eyes , his cutted ears , his bad-with-direction , his strange fatigue sickness are results of being an ex-master of a dungeon .

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i guess now the mad magician thistle is just a sub-boss , the final boss is either the winged lion or the canary elf-s . i bet my money on the winged lion , because laios 's party can cook the lion and eat him , but they cant do the same things with the elf-s , lol .

Lol Kabru's nightmare is exactly what Laius plan to do. And boy oh boy, I can feel that we are totally leading toward the endgame. Super exciting. Btw, people keep forgetting because he's an idiot, but Laius is actually a famous adventurer who's more than capable. He's an allrounder who can do lots of things and his inquisitive and morbid curiosity are perks on its own. It's just that he's an idiot.

That pixie was on loudspeaker mode! If a user doesn't want that, could they have the pixie whisper in one's ear?

Rest in Peace, iPixie.

wtf is with the leg on page 4? It's like she's got a bone spur sticking up out of it.

Because the trauma was too great for Kabru's childhood mind to process, he blocked out how everyone in his town was killed by the elves.

I like that Kabru sides with humanity no matter what. His instincts about delaying the Canaries were spot on.
