It's pretty hollow to be called beautiful by Dionysus: That particular god believes humans/elves/etc are at the apex of their beauty when they are being ripped apart by monsters. At least Lefiya genuinely thought Filvis is beautiful when she seemed to be working for the good guys. Based on this very chapter, Lefiya still wasn't ready to give up on Filvis. She was only shaken when Filvis tore her own chest open. Well, how about not doing that? Just keep looking and behaving like any regular elf. Maybe further down the line Filves could do some party tricks by detaching an arm, but otherwise there's no particular reason to show such dramatic things to others.

It can't be changed she's physiologically a monster now, but if she still wants to live in the civilised city, she can just keep it under wraps. If the people closest to her accept it, it's enough. The rest don't even need to know; it's not their business. It would be a different thing if once a month she needed to eat a human or an elf and couldn't stop the impulse to do it.

This. For all the bad parts about bell, he has always been someone that sees a person for who they are, and not what they are or what they have been forced to do. It's something I thought lefiya also was, so I'm sad to see it only extended so far.

Anyways, I quite liked how quite the last few pages of the chapter are. Lefiya struggling to speak but ultimately falling into a grieving silence, while Filvis takes it as she chooses to, knowing that her soul is damned and that even in death, she wouldn't be able to escape what she has become.

Genuinely makes me wonder what heaven even is like though, considering how fucking pissed the people/gods who fell for Dionysus's plot must be right now, assuming they can see what's going on.

If anyone does not know what Dionysus talking about when Hestia gets in his way back in heaven....

In the original mythology, Dionysus is the inventor of wine. His invention is so great and so revolutionary, that he got invited to Olympus to become part of the gods. However, back then the number of gods are perfectly round numbers. 12 Gods and Goddess. 6 Male (Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hermes, Hephaestus, Ares), 6 Female (Hestia, Hera, Demeter, Aphrodite, Athena, Artemis). Making Dionysus a god will break the balance of 12 gods but alot of the gods REALLY want Dionysus's wine that it almost break into a war. To resolve the issue, Hestia withdrew herself from the council of the gods so Dionysus can become one of the Gods. Some part I can't remember clearly so the details might differ abit, but that's the part of the mythology that this story took as "Hestia got in his way back at heaven"

Also, Maenads are "Dionysus's attendants", kinda translated to "Mad Girls". They will fuck you and kill you, in that order.

Bell might but the part about filvis abandon her familia and about to destroy orario is not something he can pass either. And filvis is clearly happier to receive divine punishment from her precious friend than to continue living as a monster and criminal

That line about Filvis being unable to sully Lefiya's virtue. I get a feelling that Bell would get into serious trouble with Filvis, if he were to have a one night stand with Lefiya. And if by LUCK (whether good or bad), Lefiya got pregnant from it, I'd say that Filvis would go on rabbit hunting.
