I bet this "her" is like Gaia or some other primordial Earth goddess. Probably the being who created the dungeon in the first place....

@DracoInduperator maybe though the red haired lady implied that what ever "her" is a deity isn't it. Maybe it's a deity that broke the rules went into the dungeon and got killed, and rather than going back to heaven like normal they were trapped by the dungeon just like the spirits who died in there.

@ProfStryker That's an interesting idea. Is it ever stated what happens to a god if they die in the lower world? IIRC they can go back to the Upper world whenever they wish, but if they do they can't come back down.

@DracoInduperator the way it was explained in the books is that whenever a deity receives lethal levels of damage their divine powers automatically activate to save them. That's why only Gods can kill Gods, they can counter each other's powers, everyone else can only bring them to the edge of death and then they revive. Unfortunately for the Gods who have that happen the rules of the game they're playing in the mortal world say that with a few exceptions, like giving Status, any use of divine power will result in the deity being DQed and forcefully sent back to Heaven, permanently.

@ProfStryker Neat! Thanks for the explanation! I wonder if a semi-divine weapon like the Hestia Knife (it carries the blessing of Hestia so I think it qualifies as semi-divine) would at least be able to bring them to that level of damage. I'm reading the War Games arc, and I'd really like to see someone gank Apollo. xD
