He could've talked to her, saying she's not alone anymore, and can take it slowly! She confusing sex with affection and gratitude! And the answer to your question is "Everything." The fact that he's been killed repeatedly before doesn't suddenly mean he should just be ok with whatever. And, in fact, the loss of your will to resist these things turns out to be the exact way you finally die with the skill. He still has the will to go on, and that means he's not only going to survive all his deaths, but also that he's not going to let anyone violate his bodily autonomy, be it with violence, or sex. The only reason he's even changed tack is because she time loop guilted him, and basically doomed him to die to the next monster he sees. Which he did.

Plus, you act like her suicide was a foreseeable consequence to him not letting her rape him. Even if he started off exactly as calculating as he turned post loop, he'd have to know ahead of time she'd kill herself. Letting himself get raped only comes up as a sane strategy in hindsight, which, again, is exactly what happened.

I still stand by what I said when it comes to the same with genders reversed, because I'm considering the context of survival INSIDE the manga, where what others might think is the least of your concerns, because others are an endless dungeon away from you and deadly monsters roam freely through every corner.

As for that being the end of his skill, I didn't know that (if it mentioned before and I forgot or if it's something from light novel/other sources), perhaps you meant like "he wouldn't be able to keep going, even if the skill brought him back, he would sit idle".

You're right about it being only a strategy in hindsight, easy to say after seeing the results. At the time he knew how strong she was as an ally and that she gave him the skill, as many others, who gave up midway or never reached the floor she's in. But he didn't know how messed up, crazy and desperate she was until being attacked. Or that she would react by killing herself upon being rejected. Perhaps the best he could have done after the fact was try and talk to her about it, which feels hard given, again, that she did one of the things he hates with all his being, and that he probably thought he would have time to talk later, after resting and processing everything.

No, I mean that seems to be exactly how the skill works: You don't die if you don't give up. She mentions finding all the previous guys dead, and defeated, and it doesn't look like it's got anything to do with exactly how many times they died.

Bro gave himself less than 12 hours to get over it, and by all means, it looks like he was totally prepared to sweep it under the rug and talk to her. All in all, he handled it like an absolute champ. And face it, even someone were in his shoes, and decided to talk about it, you mean to tell me you wouldn't at least give it a little while for things to calm down before talking to her? She's hysterical, and you nearly got raped, which, as you yourself said, is literally the thing he hates the most, considering it's been less than a week, from his perspective, that his girlfriend was nearly gangraped, and then killed in front of his eyes.

The guy's been making pretty good decisions for someone in his position, and his mental resilience is amazing.

But you know, I don't feel sorry for the MC. Right now it seems he has no plan on how he's going to escape the dungeon, much less on how he's going to get revenge on the bullies and the town.

Dude is just trying to survive. His best chance at that turns out to be a Yandere, and everything else tries to kill him on sight.

It would be extremely unrealistic if he somehow had some big brain maneuvers planned out covering his escape from the dungeon and subsequent revenge on the townspeople.

This is dumb, you expect him to think rationally and comfort someone who just tried to rape him on their first night together despite clearly being traumatized by a similar event?

The only reason he even went back for her is cause, end of the day, he needs to survive and she was his best chance at that so he was willing to start over, but expecting him to behave rationally in the moment is only easy to say because we have an outside perspective.
