I think it's the opposite this time, Nyau is going to be Kiska's ally. I think she knows more than she lets on, and it wasn't a coincidence that she dropped in before Kiska and Gorgan started to fight.

Nyau started off drunk, but then when the situation between Kiska and Gorgan deescalated she suddenly becomes sober after a drink of water? I think she intentionally disrupted it.
what if nok got her drunk on purpose because he knew she'd end up breaking the fight? for all we know, nok could also have the same power as kiska that bastard is mysterious

Assuming he tells the truth, does it mean he's just being bitter he can't celebrate with his comrades, and then suddenly he decided, "WELL THEN I'll BE CHAOS!"

I mean, he's pretty reasonable (?) with his comrades, but to the point that he kills Eligion while he could be his new bestie and he kills him?
what if gorgon lied his ass off to throw off kiska, and he was just acting drunk so that kiska would believe him more?

wait what if eligion survives and somehow becomes ageha? it would explain why she's called a hero and why she's obsessed with kiska since, in this bullshit theory, she was once saved by kiska. ageha's existence just throws me off like hell

Could Ageha be the daughter of the hero and Canaria? Just because Canaria's faction wants him dead doesn't necessarily mean they couldn't have a child together. Thus Ageha is raised for awhile before being sealed because she has the hero's bloodline/power/whatever.

Gorgon, wanting to avenge your dead friends is understandable, but when you bond with a parasite weapon and help/resurrect a demon lord to do it, that's going too far. You're genuine trash, Gorgon.

Sorry bud, but that's a REALLY stupid reason to bring the demon lord back. Didn't even lose a wife and kids. Motivation for killing the hero specifically though? Sure, maybe, but they didn't give anywhere near a good enough flashback to sell that scene.

Thus I'm going back to my theory that the two of them just want the demon lord to dick them down. It just makes more sense.

I'm quite doubtful because of the smirk he made at the end, but characters in this manga just randomly do these so there is that.

Assuming he tells the truth, I can see it as either:

1- He is critical about how everyone just moved on happily because one hero joined, even if plenty was lost in the war.

AND/OR

2- he feels a "duty" to settle the score with the hero, because none of his comrades returned while he did nothing nor did he die with them.

Personally, looking at the whole picture, my understanding is that he just lives the theory of "there is always the other side of the coin". For someone to win, someone else has to lose. Everywhere light travels, darkness surrounds it. That's why he says there is no personal grudge. Whether he wins or dies, things "are what they are".

I don't trust Nyau at all. It looked like she faked being drunk while eavesdropping and Gorgan left her to handle Kiska.

I'm still kinda lost why they are here in the past. Is it still somehow connected to the Yandere hero and the dungeon in the future ?

We got Gorgan's motivation. I think there may be more to it. He doesn't have any obligation to be honest with Kiska in the first place. Eligion is on guard now though at least.

Thanks for the translation.
Yup. Never take what an enemy says at face value. Hell, even your own comrades. Not because your comrades are out to get you, but you just don't know what other goals and motives they have that might lead them to be secretive about certain things.

Honestly, whether Gorgan is being truthful or not, I'm not sure, but if we take what he said at face value, it's fucking crazy he's willing to throw the entire world into darkness just because his comrades didn't make it back. That's fucking war, what did you think war was? Eligion ended the war, and most people finally found peace, even on your own losing side. Dude just decided fuck everything, I'm going to have everyone die. It's not like they were assassinated unfairly or something, they died as a casualty of war. That's what fucking war is. Deciding to revive the demon lord because of that is insane. Dunno what Kanaria's reasoning is, but I have a feeling it's also unjustifiable.

Sad really, I really like Kanaria (sans psycho chaos bulslhit). She's my favorite after our beloved Judith-sama.

I did not read the novels to be able to give a clearer answer (if any such decides to answer please tag it as spoiler), but from the past chapters:

-they are in the past 100 years ago because the world has ended in the future, but not in the past.
-it's connected to the Yandere hero who destroyed the world in the future with reset, because maybe Kiska can find her in the past and she might be able to fix it.
-since Kiska didn't succeed in finding her so far, he has been traveling with the hero, and also working to protect the hero from those wishing to ressurrect the demon lord.

As a bonus, it's unclear but there might be some sort of paradox, time mess happening and maybe Kiska's world in the future is a consequence of him being in the past, because we've seen how these cultists planned to ressurrect the demon lord, yet it's known by Kiska that the hero defeated the demon lord and brought peace to the future
