Just get a script-blocker. For example, the NoScript extension for Firefox. Activate it before visiting a shady website. It blocks ALL scripts by default, and then you can temporarily turn each one on until you've got just enough functionality to use the website the way you want without all that extra stuff that shoves ads in your face to the point of slowing your computer down. Even if you click on the wrong thing and a pop-up does make it through, the pop-up's scripts will be disabled by default, too.

I heard that the other scan isn't good(?) I mean, I checked them out once and I noticed they translate the name of the dungeon as Dragon's Abyss. The kanji means that, but that's not how it's read.

thats a good sign that the other scan is just mtl garbage
if its outside of mangadex its most likely one of the groups that just shits out low quality chapters on a bunch of different mangas and leaves half of them behind a paywall on their site

Dunno what the group name is but they upload their scans on a place called utoon.net and also reset-scan.co. It's basically garbage because i read a couple chapters and it looks like they either skipped chapters or cut out stuff. Also sometimes they fucking have their scans cut in half so like half the page is readable but the paneling is all fucked. Thankfully they don't upload here anymore that I know of but goddamn is it ass trying to read it
