Glorious madness. And a nicely balanced harem forming in those 4. Pure hearted statuesque, short/stacked horny, cute klutz, ill-defined sister who would be happy with more. Some good opportunities there.

The fact that sometime late into the story the author makes a U-turn and screws himself up doesn't matter that much if the contract stipulates that an editor is allocated to oversee and reverse the decisions of the author if they would result in reduction of quality.

In other words, going from web novel to more professional setting can bring in about changes in the story to prevent the mess from the original. It's very rare for manga or light novel to be completely faithful to a web novel.

My two cents about future events:

The armor gives Shirou the ability to intervene in the ongoing war on the continent, which was introduced like ch.1. How and why is yet to be seen, but the author is clearly leaving the door open and likely intended to from the start.

As far as wasted characters, pretty much every girl we’ve seen so far will end up on the war front, and soon Shirou will have:

Cause to leave the island

The ability to take on trained soldiers in this world

Will soon after arriving on land take up a certain reputation (not that) that would give him standing equal with two countries

And pretty much every girl that was “wasted” happen to be where Shirou is slutting his way toward. I can understand wanting the slow life with a unique twist, but it’s pretty clear the author is steering Shirou to the war front.

Here's hoping it'll go as you say. I really hope it would. So many wasted waifus... I really hope they get their chances on the harem now if they get an editor to reel this author in with his "ideas" he went with in the WN...

I've read though all the comments.
And the way I see it, even it I love this manga; if it does end then it has at least shown that their is a massive market for this genre and theme. Before this magna I had never seen a Gender Moral Reverse world adventure before. But thanks to this its seems to be coming slightly more common. And I am sure their will be more things in this manga and other new manga for us to enjoy. But I am also sure that this manga will continue for quite some time, as there seems to be a sizeable fanbase for this kind of content.

There is a LN from 2020 which has only one volume. The cover seems to depict Gram and her second-in-command. So it seems to cover until at least that part.
Usually the manga is based on the LN and not the WN. I don’t know if the LN also covers the current Sierra arc, but even if it can’t be that far ahead. So the manga can’t become the LN version – if anything it was already the LN version and may now be based on the WN version or do it’s own thing entirely.
