Eh... I don't think Shido's actions are really something to be forgiven... He used some sort of pseudo-slavery magic on a noble's daughter to use her as bait for kidnappers, that weren't even aiming for her to begin with, based on the flimsy hope that some random waitress' "find lost things" gimmick would lead them to her. Not a single complaint or even a grumble? And they fucking paid him for it?!

Also, why weren't God and all the other lesser deities stopping that priest? A noble kidnapping and stuff is a matter for the kingdom, but in this world where gods are very real and have already punished humanity before for stuff they just let a priest run a child trafficking business for the purpose of exploiting magic, the gift given to them by the God the priest is supposed to be working for?
