I don't think so, that Ida person almost force choked two idiots and only got warned for trying to kill people and not about the use of magic.

I think it's more of him being so powerful beyond any wizards while also having no interest in human politics that the wizards agree it's better to let him chill and have his help in handling world-level crisis when one occur.
That's why they were checking on world tree and such, to figure out what kind of crisis is happening that made him move.

Thoughts and Things I noticed while rereading :

• Sensei coming to the rescue was 😚👌✨ (chef kiss)
• The animals are actually quite well drawn, wow 🤩
• The former master looks like Dick Dastardly (and his mustache falling off 😆)
• Speculating: The girl in braids…She has a crush on Sensei, doesn’t she 🙃😆🤔
• More magicians 😯✨
• Lucille and Sensei are both so nice 😤♥️ And kind hearted

TBH I don’t doubt that the romance is coming, but the gentleness of their current relationship is just as sweet! I wouldn’t mind if the story was just them being housemates or friends for the rest of their lives

(though I’m definitely invested in how the romance between them will go 👀✨)

Some idiot threatening and trying to abduct the one person in the world who is comfortable in his self-inflicted "exile", and extremely efficient in doing the things that must be done without disturbing him would do it.

Would do it for most of us... Romance (though implied) not even needed. Perfect employees are worth fighting over.
That idiot was trying to steal the diamond he's been looking for for a long time. And for the worst reasons..

What I absolutely love about this chapter is how the animal summons are used to reflect our magister's mood...

You already have Wolf, Tiger, and Bear. The warrior-wisdom totem animals.
Then as he gets more angry he adds Eagle (in strike pose), Hyena (ruh-roh), and Honey Badger (.....!!)
Then as he cools down a bit the number gets reduced to 4 in "mere" attack mode.
And finally as he dismissed the situation just the three "originals" clearly drawn as "playfully" chasing our horndog ex-employer off...
edit: Ah..four.. Eagle is in there as an outline, so he does use all 4 main warrior totems.

Beautifully done!

But seriously.. a honey badger... That's ... ummm yeah..

edit: Ah... figured out the near-impossible sketchy outline... If the author is consistent with his totem animals, that'd be Wolverine..
He's showing his colours there... And no, people can figure out for themselves what that little gem as a totem means..
