His surname being Enlight doesn't make him sound any more like he's from a desert country (at least in our world).

In JP his name is Ashugarudo, which I would transliterate as Ashgard instead of Asgard. But I know this manga likes to name some characters after mythological figures, so I ended up going with Asgard. I looked for examples of the name Ashugarudo/Ashgard online, but didn't find anything meaningful.

Not that this matters, but there are "deserts" in Norway. Like, parts that receive little rain, or parts that classify as cold deserts (like tundras).
