Just started reading this and I’m enjoying it more than I thought I would, but I really really don’t understand why the author is making the mc keep it secret who he was in his past life and that he was reincarnated/reborn. We don’t even get a clear reason its just kinda “I don’t wanna tell them”. There’s a more obvious reason for the elf, but the main problem is that nothing is being done with this plot point at all. The reborn into another life trope is hardly unique at this point and reborn into a girl is probably more popular than it should be. I mean the series has a generic premise (that doesn’t mean a good or bad story), but what I haven’t seen before is the main character reborn as the child of his former companions. That seems like a very interesting plot point/premise that the author could do a LOT with to have a unique take on this or at least some interesting comedic situations. But NOTHING is being done with it. Aside from some not-even-embarrassing situations and tne breast feeding incident in the first chapter there’s just nothing going on with that huge plot point. Its just the same stuff as all the other “reborn as a baby in my world” series, the MC has experienced world knowledge of these familiar characters and that’s. I was hoping the elf would at least notice and tease the mc or force them into taking her everywhere or something. The Mc isn’t even embarrassed with the bath. That whole confession scene I got nothing from because it does nothing to the story. Its jusy infuriating that the author is sitting on a great and easy way to make the interactions between characters and plot 10x more interesting and is doing NOTHING with it. We don’t even have a really good reason for keeping it secret except maybe the MC’s kinda embarrassed (even though he could get a lot more use from just telling them and I really don’t even get why he’s embarrassed as soon as he could talk he should have just told them everything and they couldn’t really get mad that a baby can’t talk and probably be happy that he’s well not dead). Its been made clear that all the heroes were on pretty good terms and the elf in love with the MC wouldn’t be working for comrades that hated him. They could only be happy that the mc was reborn as their daughter and that would lead to AMAZING interactions and moments between the family. Really this manga just feels boring at times when I think of how much fun and interesting it could be.
