@Qwertzy I’m sure old people still have romantic interests; I never said he should be some this weird sexless aromantic old man, which I didn’t even know was a stereotype (or whatever you could call it).
What I was trying to say is, considering his age, it would be kind of disturbing to see him pursue a romantic partner, whoever it could be. Even though his appearance is of a young girl, we, the readers, know he truly is an old man who died of old age and maintained his knowledge and maturity. There are some large age gaps out there, sure, but this would be the Grand Canyon of large age gaps.
The first and second paragraph of my previous comment do not necessarily go hand in hand. I would much rather the content of the story not include romance as a gender bender, since I think that takes a different approach to addressing gender itself (takes it to a more sexuality stance). Then I said it would be weird that he did, essentially boiling down to a giant age gap and I think the story shouldn’t expand further on the subject of romance. I’m sure he has or will, but again I would think it weird and I doubt it would add much to the story.
Never said “old people have no interest in romance.” Never said old people should be “sexless, aromantic seniles.” Maybe you could badger on my thinking that giant age gaps are just plain weird, but you assumed a little too much from my comment. Never had this misconception before, and my reasons have already been stated.
