IIRC even in his flashback of the old Altein, they were only using medieval-style weapons. Kinda out of place seeing "modern" weapons here.
Damn another manga going Arifureta route ig :shamihuh:

Very glad this is updating again because I refuse to read from manga up. Fuck them for splitting up chapters. Maybe if it gets tankōbon release I’ll stomach giving them money.

Don’t forget, this is now one thousand years in the future. Just think how much technology has changed in a thousand years on earth. Even if there’s some quibbling over magic suppressing technology, there could easily be scientific advancement going on somewhere hidden.

I will assume that banner is helpful for Alma's Black Parade (or whatever you call it).
Bruh what the hell? :questionblob: First, there's the plot (that I can't understand), then the stuff that was left for them by Lyatt (which lacks explanation as to what those are for), then we get a "hero" with guns, then decapitated heads.

I haven't reread this chapter specifically but since the latest translated is at 34 ill cover it with spoiler in case.
The people that show up with guns are from a different time period where the leader is the hero of that time. Even more time stuff is going to happen which explains why this entire existence of a world is set in place and why he was reincarnated etc etc

Medieval era spanned ~500-1500 AD. Hand cannons and gunpowder weapons first appeared in the 1100s. Muskets appeared around the 1500s. Modern automatic weapons came about during and after WWII. 1000 years is plenty of time to develop advanced technological weapons.

That's also putting aside the stereotypical trope that magic usually suppresses advancement of technology. In reality, if magic did exist, it would be used to accelerate the advancement of technology, especially in times of war. Wartime fuels the research of anything that can produce results, not just what is most practical, cost effective, or efficient. Aircraft carriers made of ice, flying nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, and a doomsday nuclear weapon to wipe out the entire world were all things seriously researched in our history. In a world where select people have magic and magical abilities vary greatly, arming the magic-less masses would absolutely be advantageous.

i'd apreciate if y'all got the previous chapters back instead of translating new ones, like nobody will be reading the newer ones without the context from the old ones
That's probably a bad idea. Those chapters were dmca'd. If they get put back the publisher might have cause to come after mangadex even harder.

You can easily find the old ones(and newer up to chapter 34) on another website.

the same with him talking about how Altein used electricity in the last chapters, both the guns and that were nowhere to be seen in the flashbacks we have seen until now. At least from what I remember

His era was using medieval weapon and yet in this chapter he suddenly knows what the bullets are made of and the guns which we haven't seen in the flashback are also from his era? I don't buy it.
