ngl I'm starting to think the harem wasn't even planned at all by the mangaka. Might've been forced onto them cause hurr durr harem manga sales go up kinda thing.

yeah what I find worse it's not even just being a harem but the other girls being completely uninteresting, it feels like such a wasted potential, imagine if it was only about the hero and the witch and we would see their interactions in both their past and current lives. It could have been so good...

My own guess is that this story started with a rock-solid premise, and then the author read Married to the Girl I Hate, loved it, and completely changed directions.

And so we're now stuck with this half-assed psuedoharem. I'm still waiting for Shina to hideously self-destruct in some manner so that the other two girls suddenly look viable in comparison.

Hey, now. 'Pseudo Harem' (Giji Harem) is a great manga and anime.
