Also I get he’s grown apathetic due to his blessing, but this guys enough of a doormat to give most isekai protagonists a run for their money.
He’s hired specifically for his skills then his clients berate him continuously, he shows off his skills (when I get the feeling that’s sensitive info), even with that they don’t believe he’s capable and then he offers himself up as a sacrificial pawn so some hack of a mage can take a shot then it’s all celebrations that they succeeded lol.

Weird situation, it’s hard to root for anyone of these characters right now.

He may have infinite hp but his fire power or strength isn't enough to damage an enemy.

An interesting contrast here, since in most other stories, being unable to die is a curse rather than a blessing.

Though the bigger question I have, is are this guys nerves dead? Does he feel no pain? He seems awfully okay with experiencing extreme bodily mutilation, even if it can be healed that doesn't remove the experience of the injury.

After so much pain you essentially become numb to it. IRL your nerves die off and your skin gets thicker, etc., but for him he's experiencing it raw every time. Some people have a ridiculous level of pain tolerance simply because they've experienced it before, so he would probably be so numbed to it mentally that he won't really react unless he experiences a new type of pain. Add in his Terror Resist and he can practically keep rational in any circumstance while just noting certain pains as a hindrance until his blessing activates.
