Ah, an old favorite. Loved the art style for this. Too bad viz censored parts of it.

This was quite good considering the subject. Next to the anime, the manga did a much better job of establishing the setting. Without any exposition, we see a future would where not only has civilization survived some sort of catastrophe, dealing with powerful creatures is a part of day to day life.

@jak funny enough, the one we have here is *double* censored. The "uncensored" tankoubon is actually a censored version of the magazine releases, which is apparently egregious even by Japan's standards.
