Tbf this was originally released around 2020, which was part of the second (third?) wave of isekai garbage

Everyone wanted a piece of the isekai pie - sadly, many decided to throw in and play straight every trope they could think of just to get their material out there (whether it was at the behest of an editor or not) at the expense of proper character writing

Why write characters with depth when you can just copy what already worked and get your quick bag
