cheats on the elf girl who, unless I misread it, reminds the guy of his previous elf lover

, the elf girl at the beginning has really big, aesthetic elf ears while the elves you actually see have ears that are like a third of the length, and neither the elves or fox people act any different than humans. They're basically just humans with slightly off ears, there's nothing that makes them particularly elf or fox like.

The 'unique magic' the MC uses to justify being OP is just plain awkward, when they allow him to use his past memories to his benefit but then also have to somehow not let people know he is somehow morphing into a past self(?), really just creating more of a headache for the author. I'm guessing it's meant to be a plot point to create unnecessary drama down the line. Cause that's really the priority here, apparently.

There is a perfectly usable struggle going on but no, we have to dive into

What, its the 'end' already??? This felt incredibly rushed its so wierd. The way the story now is barely gets a 6... the ending arc could have easily been done in 3 chapters and it would have felt natural, 1 for their engagement, 1 for the battle and then a wrapup. Instead you now have a lot of waisted plotpoints and things that happened that dont make any sense.

Was there even a plan for this story?? If the author was planning for this story to only be 15 chapters long, it could have been written in that way no problem.

Shame really, the artstyle is just in my wheelhouse, the story of a village escaping the cruel empire seems interedting enough and tbe heroes power is something I hadnt seen before.
