I really love the way they portray El in the manga. His somewhat goofy sinister look always cracks me up, and it makes him seem more human compared to the more innocent impression of him I got from the novel.

@Gameguy His powers are limited by his contractor's capacity at the moment, as I recall that was part of why the kid is training to summon the elementals from the ground up. He started with the top and it almost killed him. El's real power doesn't mean much when his contractor can barely maintain that wolf, which wasn't even even at the spot just below El in the hierarchy I think. Kid should be running on empty for using that one as much as he has just now, though.

@gameguy they aren’t traveling towards any antagonist though, they’re trying to get allies cause otherwise how is he supposed to rule a country, the current destination is his cousin with good influence. Killing his uncle could maybe help but it’s not the end goal and you can’t just kill every single corrupt noble out there, and many nobles would still be against our little emperor even without the uncle. And yes el’s power is restricted in his human form.
