Funnily, the image shows up in the post editor.
Also ANNOYING that they started redirecting file extension links into in-site image viewer bullshit (for example: https://i.imgur.com/JmHnSH8.png )

Edit: Oh I was not expecting that. I put down the plain url but it automatically turned into a media embed?! I'm even more pissed. Is this caused by a Xenforo update or Imgur itself??? (I had to circumvent it by using the "plain" bbcode.)

I'm guessing the blame is on Imgur. You used to be able to open [URL] and it would load the direct image. Now it redirects to the main website.

If this is permanent and unfixable, I'm royally pissed. I migrated to imgur last year after flickr pulled the rug on original image downloads for free users. I guess at least my past posts are safe.

Edit: I'm too disturbed by those broken images, so I'm editing all my editable messages to fix the image urls. I hate my life.

I remember that always being a feature even as far back as in 2023.
