In another spectacular W for Rikitake, on the page where Aino's mom Karoliina is introduced, the only two significant visual elements are Karoliina's gaze, and the wild-eyed gaze of a terrible beast. While this doesn't have literal bearing on the story, from a vibes-based perspective this is so so so cool. Great job Rikitake.

This is making me feel a weird sort of dread. Her parents pushing her to take up her brother's mantle, it's some fleshing out of Aino that I so desperately wanted to see after most of the previous chapters focusing on Iro's feelings towards her.

This was an uncanny chapter to read. Due to the location not being specifically designed after any one place or time, my brain was constantly trying to locate when and where I've been in this place before...
And I don't just mean the town or indoors scenes. The forest itself clearly shouts out "This is North-European taiga" with its vegetation.

Nothing specifically Finnish to share this time around. Maybe you could stretch Aleksi being reference to Aleksis Kivi or something, but don't think so. It's a very common name afterall.
But if you do end up visiting us, do pay a visit to Porvoo or Hanko, which have well preserved historical towns, which this chapter clearly was inspired by.

Wait... Helsinki cathedral go home, you are drunk. You are a 19th century building lost in a medieval/renaissance world.

On one hand, the parents seemed to worry about their kid trying to defeat the demon king, while on the other they seemed to indirectly pushed her to do it whether they did it intentionally or not. For the mother at least, idk about the dad tho. He seems worried. I think. Idk. There has to be something wrong with them bruh

I think what Aino fears right now....is that the parents won't care after finding out. At worst, add some places to her final journey to farm some more glory.
