Saw it coming from a mile off (the narrative pointers are all there) but it STILL managed to hit me in the feels at the end. Goodness it's a lovely first chapter though, can't wait for this one to get all juicy and angsty

Thanks for the scans!! Appreciate the Finnish guide near the end, super cool!

Finnish based story? Perkele
This reminds me of the necromancer and the hero party aftermath oneshot but all I can say is I'm looking forward to how the story turns out.
I like how after a decade (?) the scar from that one shot still hurt me :'(

I'd say "androgynous GL".
Unless I missed it somewhere, I couldn't see a clear proof regarding the gender throughout the volume.
Aino is a swordswoman, so she is a definite she. Iro is androgynous but she wore skirt so I guess we can treat this as GL.

Looking at the adult version, if I hadn't read the TL's comment about the name, I'd assume she's a he. And in the volume I only found 1 sentence with a clear gender pronouns, and it's not the questionable one. Even the actual synopsis didn't specify that. Might have to wait for the 2nd volume.

I wonder if the incompleted resurection spell has any other side effects, or it's just that Ainu is now a child and weaker.
